To strengthen and institutionalize quality assurance in higher education, Bangladesh Army International University of Science and Technology (BAIUST), Cumilla successfully organized a two-day workshop titled “Advancing Quality Assurance in Higher Education: Integration of Teaching-Learning and Assessment (TLA), Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and Academic Strategic Plan.” The program was held on 25 and 27 January 2026 at the university auditorium and was conducted through four comprehensive sessions.
The workshop commenced with a welcome address by Professor Dr. Md. Tahidur Rahman, Director, IQAC. The Honorable Vice-Chancellor of BAIUST, Brigadier General Md. Kamal Uddin Komol, ndc, psc, delivered his speech in the concluding session of the workshop as the Chief Guest. In his address, the chief guest emphasized the significance of accreditation in enhancing the quality of higher education and highlighted the integrated application of TLA, CPD, and Academic Strategic Planning as the cornerstone of sustainable quality assurance. The event was also graced by the respected Treasurer, Registrar, Deans of faculties, Heads of Departments, and senior officials. All faculty members of the university actively participated in the two-day program.
The workshop was moderated by Mst. Rezwana Karim, Additional Director, IQAC, with Professor Dr. Md. Tahidur Rahman, Director, IQAC, and Salma Parvin Suma, Additional Director, IQAC, serving as resource persons. Participants gained in-depth and practical insights into the processes, strategies, and implementation of quality assurance in higher education.
