The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Bangladesh Army International University of Science and Technology (BAIUST) arranged a day-long workshop titled “OBE in Practice” on 27 November 2021 for its faculty members at BAIUST auditorium. Mr. Md Samin Rahman, Lecturer (EEE), Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University (BSMRAAU) facilitated the workshop. Vice-Chancellor, Professor Brigadier General K M Salzar Hossain (Retd.), graced the event with his presence. Colonel Professor Md Mosharrof Hossain (Retd), and Dr. Wahida Zaman Loskor, Director and Additional Director of IQAC respectively, supervised the overall arrangement of the workshop, and Mr. Kazi Shahidul Islam, Office Administrator of IQAC, hosted the whole event. The workshop focused on why and how Outcome Base Education (OBE) could be pursued in higher education, how faculty members could develop rubrics and assessment of learning outcomes. It also highlighted Bloom’s Taxonomy, program educational objectives, and self-assessment practices in the overall pursuit of OBE practices in the University. The workshop ended with a segment for general discussion and Questions/Answers involving all the participants.
